Compared to the VPK180, the Prodigy S8-40 excels in scalability, flexibility, and I/O capabilities, providing a versatile solution for developers that need adaptable and reusable prototyping solutions. While both the VPK180 and S8-40 support an FMC+ connector, the S8-40 also has more flexible connectors and daughter cards. It includes 486 XPIOs on 9 Prodigy connectors, 112 GTMs on 28 MCIO connectors, 16 GTYPs on 4 PGT+ connectors, and 8 GTYPs on a PCIe slot. This allows users to select the exact protocols and the number of network interfaces they need, such as PCIe, HDMI, MIPI, GPIO, and QSFP-DD, enabling rapid prototyping and efficient verification deployment.


Additionally, the Prodigy S8-40 also offers an extensive range of peripherals and reference designs. With over 90 ready-to-use daughter cards, PCIe Gen5 Speed Adapters, Memory DFI PHYs, and ChipLink IP solutions, the S8-40 ensures comprehensive system integration.
